月見の宴
早いものでもうお盆が過ぎ、 川沿いには赤とんぼがちらほら。。。
もう秋ですね、9月9日には重陽の節句（菊の節句）、9月22日 には十五夜。秋らしい行事がすぐそこに。。。
重陽の節句は丘や山に登りその頂上で菊酒を飲んで 邪気を祓い長命を願う風習でした。 また宮中では菊の花に真綿をかぶせ、夜露をとりその露で 体を拭くと穢れが取れ長寿になる、と言われています。
本来は収穫祭としてのもあり、農山村や庶民の間では 栗の節句とも呼ばれて栗ご飯で節句を祝ったそうです。
また十五夜は本来、十三夜と一対で農耕儀礼としての 意味が強くその年の収穫を祝うとともに翌年の豊作を 祈願する意味があったそうです。 そのため十五夜で月がでなくても十三夜で出てくれれば。。。 なんて切実な思いなんでしょう。。。。
この重陽から十五夜にかけて美山荘では 庭先に設えた床机で月見の宴を出来るだけたくさんの お客様に楽しんでいただければ。。。。 と思っております。

Time flies,We see red dragonflies along the River.Autumn is coming.
In Japan we have traditional customs in each seasons.
In the early Autumn…Sep 9th: the day of chouyou (the day of chrysanthemun)
Sep 22th: the 15th moon night.
The day of chouyou is to pray for your good health and long life,drinking chrysanthemum-sake at the top of a hill or mountain.
In the court, it is said that they purify themselves by washing their bodies with a floss silk, gathered night dew by putting on a cherysanthemum flowar for all night in the garden.
On the other hand, among people, it is also meant to be a harvest festival.
Some call this day “the day of a chesthut” and have a custom of eating chestnut rice.
The 15th Moon Night is originally combined with The 13th Moon Night as an agricultural ceremony for a good harvest.
They wish…”Please come out on the 13th Moon Night,if Moon doesn`t come out on The 15th Moon Night”…They long for the moon very much.
During this period we offer dinner outside along the river.
